I make no apology and I have not used a Nokia or any other smartphone to make any comparison.

I love my phone because as a phone it works BUT as a multimedia tool it also works.

The big seller for me was SIMPLICITY.

This technological tool makes complex tasks easy and painless.

Take Nightline, the radio program I host.

I needed a new intro for the podcast and simply didn’t have time to get into the studio to record the intro.

And if I had there would have been editing and transferring issues, a 10 second job would have taken 30 minutes.

What do I do?

I sit in a closet, really, and record the intro on my iPhone and send it to myself to be added to the podcast!

Broadcast quality recording on a phone that is simple to transfer!

Listen to the iPhone recorded intro, pretty good if I do say so myself.

When I talk about SIMPLICITY the iPhone is another example.

SIMPLICITY is about taking complex ideas and/or tasks and making them accessible to anyone!

Why is this idea so hard to make stick?

I want to share with you one of my absolute favorite WEB2.0 tools, yes I see WEB2.0 applications as tools, Audioboo!

Audioboo is an application that I use on my iPhone to post audio podcasts.

You may be saying why? Who cares? What is the point? All good questions!

Well, there is no denying that audio presentations are still a major fixture in our lives, do you listen to a radio in our car? EXACTLY!

Well how often have you said that you have something to share with others that you think they might find interesting?

Maybe you want to share the moment sounds of a parade? Maybe you want to describe the dinner you just cooked? Maybe you want to pass on an assignment to a class?

The point is there are many tools but as I have said before there is a need for simplicity!

Audioboo does just that, makes recording audio on the phone easy to do and then upload to the world!

Give a listen to te examples of the use of Audioboo I have been recording for MOvember.

I think there are a 101 applications for Audioboo, loving this application.

What are your thoughts?
