Why is that an issue?

We professors, we bureaucrats, we parents, we …. are truly bankrupt of creative ideas.

What we do have is a means to implement ideas but what we lack are ideas, new innovative,creative ideas.

Look at Greece! How do they fix their financial problems? Loans! Throwing more bankrupt ideas at a problem is no solution.

The environment! We have big problems! How can we fix it?

Has anyone bothered to ask our youth? Does anyone want to listen to our youth? NO, what do the youth know!

I spoke with 7 kids aged between 10 and 12 about their take on the environment and how they are looking at things, the conversation gives me hope!

Once again what motivates us? Money.

British UAE-based adventurer Adrian Hayes and Canadian adventurers Devon McDiarmid and Derek Crowe will be attempting a unique traverse of the full length of Greenland, from the Atlantic Ocean on the south coast to the Arctic Ocean on the north coast between May and July 2009.

The Greenland Quest is more than 3 people on personal extreme challenges it is a wake up call to remember that this planet is fragile and we are having an impact upon it!

The message from this adventure is that you can do anything you put your mind to!

Be committed, communicate well, plan realistically and trust, trust in yourself and the goodness of those we interact with on a daily basis because we cannot do thing alone!

Last night I was told I was brave!

Not because I did a heroic act, but because I allowed Hans Schreuder, a scientist who thinks there is no CO2 issue when we talk about the environment, to have a voice on Dubai radio.

Brave? Seems like what radio is all about to me, getting a variety of ideas into the air and allowing us to have a conversation and become better informed.

I find it sad that in this day and age of technology overkill we don’t have the time to go to resources that espouse what we do not agree with and actually think about what is being said!

Once again the reality of the day is that technology is great BUT it is not the be-all and end-all.

And what we miss from our current state of technological advancement is true conversation, radio or talk radio as we do it on NIGHTLINE is just that, a great conversation with the whole community.
