James Piecowye thinking out loud

Ideas, inspiration and a bit of random.

What we need is to know!

Last night I had the chance to speak to professor Dan Connell of Simmons College Boston about Eritrea.

Listen to the podcast it is 20 minutes of magic.

What do you know about Eritrea? If you are like me , not much.

Yet this country has been in the news for over 30 years, and not for good reasons.

I think our media, well the gatekeepers, are failing at their job!

Eritrea factors prominently into the equation of issues impacting upon the horn of Africa, yet many of us have no idea where it even is.

The real issue is do we give our governments permission to engage in loud diplomacy to actually push for change on the horn of Africa?

Why not!

You and I may not be able to do anything BUT our governments can and all they need is our permission to engage!

So look up the issues in Eritrea and write a letter to your PM or President and ask them to do something, anything but not nothing!

Humanity is more important today than ever and silence is simply not a viable action!
