What if Education was like shopping?

Education as consumerism?

Uhhh why isn’t it?

Listen to this piece about Warby Parker Eye Glass stores and online slaes.

Now tell me why we aren’t doing more of this wen it come to education?

Small, boutique style experiences where you get the specialised tools as you need them.

I suspect if we thought more this way, combining online and bricks and mortar scenarios we may actually get people to embrace the process of knowledge acquisition.

Much of what you are talking about had me connecting to the current growing interest in “badges” as a form of “micro credentialing” to recognize “informal” learning. Encouraging “students” of all ages to have the confidence to pursue their interests .. wherever they may be..

Getting recognized for skills you have learned as you “needed” (pursued) them..
