TED2009 DAY 4—some highlights

TED was full of inspirational moments, ideas, quotes, people and objects.

I think TED for me was a hyper environment.

Some of the things that have stuck with me from day 4.

“We need to think about where we want to land from this economic environment”

How true is that? Or as it is saying we need new tools and new ways to think about where we are going.

[TED] is one of the few groups you will ever be around where no is not an answer”

I loved the push towards IDEA LEADERSHIP!

“Idea leadership is becoming more pervasive so the fact that the USA is losing its strangle hold on this is good”

One of my favorite sentences of the last day!

“That’s impossible just means I do not know how to do it”

Maybe what it all does come down to is a need for re-moralization?

“You do not need to be brilliant to be wise BUT brilliance without wisdom is a problem”

And finally…

“Social values need to be part of education not simply extracurricular!”

TED has, as I said, had an impact on me which I can scarcely put words to!
